New MCN Board elected during Annual General Assembly

On June 25th, the Music Cities Network held its official annual General Assembly!

During the assembly, all 12 city members were informed about all significant happenings in 2023 and 2024, including the completion of the EMPE and EMBTF projects, and the successful execution of our first two MCN summits. Looking ahead to 2024/25, we are excited to focus even more on the involvement of local stakeholders on the ground.

The highlight of the assembly was the election of the new MCN Board.

We are thrilled to announce that Paula Simó (Professor for Strategy & Communication, Universitat de València, València), Ása Dyradottír (Head of Reykjavík Music City, Reykjavík), and Timo Wiesmann (Head of Hamburg Music, Hamburg) have been officially elected to join the board. They will work alongside the re-elected board members Jesper Mardahl and Lex Davidson.

We are confident that with the combined expertise and passion of our new and existing board members, MCN will continue to grow and make a meaningful impact!

Welcome on board!
